Instead of purchasing a fake tree, which is both expensive and wasteful, you may hire a genuine one for the holidays and enjoy the forest's aroma, touch the soft needles and natural branches, and help preserve the environment by returning the tree to a nursery. On the evening of the Immaculate Conception (a Catholic feast devoted to the Virgin Mary observed on December 8), when the Christmas tree is typically prepared and adorned in the homes, Coldiretti makes this announcement. The initiative's goal is to help those who don't have the room or a garden to retain a genuine fir by giving them the option to return their newly acquired specimen to a nursery, where it will be cared for until the next holiday season. After taking down the ornaments, the trees may be returned to the nursery, where the customer will get a 50% refund. Then the plant will be maintained in custody and cared for until next Christmas owing to the use of special pots that via perforations enable the roots to develop once transplanted. When the fir tree outgrows its indoor quarters, it will be relocated back to the woods.
