Over the past six years, the Italian market has seen a decline in the average price of real estate. In fact, in the first half of 2022, 186.7 square meters can be purchased for 150 thousand euros, +7.6% compared to the first six months of 2016, when you could buy 173.4 square meters with the same figure. Benevento (+33.8%), Enna (+31.4%) and Perugia (+27%) are the provinces where this trend is most evident, while Bolzano (-4.3%), Lodi (-3%) and Milan (-2.8%) are the three most contrasting provinces, where in recent years prices have increased more, with a consequent decrease in square meters that can be purchased with 150 thousand euros. As for the cities, the largest houses (150 square meters) can be bought in Catania, while Genoa has the most significant increase in the number of square meters that can be purchased (+21.5%). Milan remains the most expensive city, where 150 thousand euros are just enough to buy the smallest houses: only 44 square meters.
