Valentino's Creative Director is the stylist of the year. The Italian Pierpaolo Piccioli was awarded the “Oscar of Fashion” by the prestigious British Fashion Council, which named him "Designer of the Year". The important award came last December 5, during the ceremony of the Fashion Awards in London and was delivered to the designer by the actress Florence Pugh, very elegant in a red dress created by Pierpaolo. For Piccioli, this is his second statuette, after that of 2018: in fact, the award comes as the perfect crowning of a year of great work and equally successful, like the one collected by his PP Pink, the pink hue that has become not only a new registered Pantone but also the color that is tinting the whole world in this winter as true trait of union among countries and cultures. “For me, fashion has a responsibility, I feel I have a voice and I want to use my voice even for those who have none,” the designer said, withdrawing the British Fashion Award. Piccioli then wanted to share his joy on his Instagram profile by posting a behind-the-scenes photo of the celebrations: among those happy to share with him the important goal, there was his family – his wife Simona and children Benedetta, Pietro and Stella – but also some of his closest collaborators. "This victory belongs to me as much as it belongs to every single person who works in the Maison Valentino, not only because everyone has supported me in every way possible, but because their passion and dedication inspire me more than they can ever imagine".
