The 33rd edition of the survey on the quality of life in Italy by the paper Sole 24 Ore published yesterday certifies the leadership of Bologna, followed on the podium by Bolzano and Florence. This year's edition of the survey deepens the analysis of the repercussions on the territory following the great shocks of 2022: war in Ukraine, high energy costs and inflation. The 90 statistical indicators underlying the survey that analyzes 107 provinces, of which 40 updated to 2022, present a series of novelties: two indicators on inflation; a package of indicators on energy from renewable sources/energy requalification/energy consumption; the index of electoral participation in the last parliamentary elections of September 2022; nine more synthetic indices that aggregate several parameters (quality of life of young people, children and the elderly, quality of life of women, urban ecosystem, crime index, sports index, climate index, Icity Rank on digital cities). Some historical indicators of the survey have been confirmed: value added per capita; house prices and the impact of rent on the declared average income; youth entrepreneurship; young NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training); hours of ordinary CIG (Wage Guarantee Fund); accidents at work; air quality index; motorization rate; litigation index in the courts; mortality from road accidents; number of bars, restaurants, bookstores and gyms; agritourism; reading index; urban green; ultra-fast broadband; municipal administrators under 40. By analyzing some results at a regional level, Emilia-Romagna shows a good position: next to Bologna's record, Parma is in ninth place and Reggio Emilia in 13th. The provinces of Trentino Alto Adige remain firmly in the top ten, with Bolzano in second place and Trento in fifth place.
