MasterChef is back in its Italian edition. The culinary talent show is in its twelfth season, which will start on December 15. According to the confirmed judges - the starred chefs Bruno Barbieri, Antonino Cannavacciuolo (whose Villa Crespi was crowned with three Michelin stars) and Giorgio Locatelli - the bar has been raised further and there will be many surprises. The close-knit jury, which has been confirmed for the fourth consecutive year, will first choose the 20 competitors and then will come to elect the best amateur chef in Italy. "It is true, more and more young people are trying to participate in the programme - said chef Locatelli - and it is natural: the cuisine reflects the mood and economic condition of a country. The difficulties of the pandemic have meant that many people cannot take long breaks from work to come and compete with us, there are economic problems. Young people, on the other hand, are looking for work and are playing for a chance."
