Young drivers' road safety is compromised by excessive safety, alcohol and drug use, cell phone usage while driving, high speed, and lack of experience. This is what the Road Safety Report for 2022 by Dekra shows. According to the report, the first estimates for 2022 show a rise in road accidents compared to 2021. Specifically, there is an increase of +25.7% in injuries, +24.7% in injuries to persons, and +15.3% in victims thirty days after the accident. Despite these statistics, passenger automobile travel is safer than in the past, although it should be remembered that 63% of young drivers read, text, talk, and navigate the web while driving. And for every second of distraction, the chance of an accident goes up by 41%.
