On one side, there is the Tyrrhenian cycle route, and on the other, there is the Adriatic route. However, as of now, the two routes do not connect, and there is no connecting axis. So, the three central Italian regions have made plans for and are getting ready to sign a Memorandum of Understanding about this. This is the "Monte Argentario-Civitanova Marche Cycle Route," which goes through Tuscany, Umbria, and Marche. It goes through the main cities of Albinia, Pitigliano, San Casciano dei Bagni, Orvieto, Todi, Perugia, Assisi, Foligno, Serravalle di Chienti, Tolentino, Corridonia, and Civitanova Marche. It will achieve so by linking the routes of the Ciclovia del Sole and the Ciclovia degli Appennini, as well as the pathways of the Via Francigena, the Via di Francesco, and the Via Lauretana, all of which may be ridden by bicycle.
