The long-lasting effects of the economic crisis brought on by the epidemic and, particularly, the rise in energy prices are felt by businesses and individuals' savings: after almost three years of uninterrupted development, the Italian savings now show a decline of more than 50 billion euros. In fact, the amount of reserves deposited by individuals and companies in the nation's banks decreased by 2.4% in only three months, from 2,097 billion in July to 2,047 billion in October. According to an analysis by the Study Center of Unimpresa, the abrupt outflow might have some consequences on credit institutions' collections since it could become more costly. As a result, loans, namely the interest rates imposed on loans provided to clients, may suffer in the future.
