At number 21 of Via Torino in Milan, the first Jordan Store in Europe has officially opened. The shop, known as "Jordan World of Flight Milan," has 50 employees, including store managers and sales personnel, and is slated to become a destination for followers of the brand and beyond. It is one level in size and has a total space of 363 square meters. Inside the store, you'll discover a full selection of items, including footwear, clothing, and accessories, as well as limited edition products and the chance to try out a shoe customizing service. The new store's idea pays homage to basketball culture and legacy, which is also embraced via design. In fact, local materials were utilized in the store's construction, and artwork and murals depicting the history of local basketball grounds and teams, Jordanian folklore, and the country's links to Milan and Italy were made by local artists. In 1984, Nike and NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan worked together to create a pair of shoes for Jordan to wear during his rookie season with the Chicago Bulls. This was the beginning of the Jordan brand. When it went on sale to the public the following year, the model was known as "Air Jordan 1," and quickly became one of the most popular shoe models in history. Up until this point, Nike shops, Nike.com, and the SNKRS app were the only places to purchase Jordan goods like shoes, tracksuits, and bags.
