Gucci's first permanent store devoted to the world of travel will be in Paris. The Gucci Valigeria shop is on two levels and is located at 229 Rue Saint-Honoré, between Place Vendôme and the Tuileries Garden. The interior design is inspired by the luxurious travels of the Belle Epoque era. Dark walnut furniture and finishes contrast with neutral-hued cloth surfaces to simulate the ambiance of an exquisite old railroad wagon. "Gucci Valigeria is a nod to Gucci's Florentine history and timeless workmanship, according to Marco Bizzarri, president and CEO of Gucci. It is a part of our culture that is being reinterpreted for travelers and explorers of today. Paris's Rue Saint-Honoré is the perfect place for our first Gucci Valigeria store, which is meant to be a window into a unique world of constant travel and discovery ". The Gucci Valigeria boutique has everything from shopping bags to backpacks, travel bags to dress cases, as well as beauty cases, hatboxes, suitcases, and trunks, both soft and hard, and aluminum trolleys made in collaboration with the Italian luxury luggage company FPM Milano
