M5S-Pd deficit narrows to 1.5%, Lega increases. Termometro Politico's newest average polls from 18 to 24 December compare the surveys of 7 institutes: TP, SWG, EMG, Tecne’, Euromedia, Studibidimedia, Noto. The latest trends are confirmed by Christmas Eve voting intentions. Fratelli d'Italia maintains its dominance, even though also this week it only manages to achieve 29.6% instead of 30%. The 5 Star Movement, which currently leads the Democratic Party by a point and a half, grows behind it. In fact, Letta's party continues its decline and falls to 16%, although for certain institutions, this number is even lower. Lega's 8.9% rebound matches and slightly surpasses September 25, when Salvini's formation had gone far worse than planned. At 7.1%, Forza Italia continues to be weak but is gaining ground. Italian Left/Greens increased to 3.5%, while +Europe dropped to 2.5% in the center-left. Finally, the Third Pole drops below 8% to 7.9%, similar to September.
