Pitti Pets launched in Florence, a new exhibition including 15 firms devoted to four-legged friends, including accessories, clothing, food, beauty products, items, and interiors. Therefore, the animal world is getting more luxurious: collars like diamonds, leashes resembling belts, clothes resembling fitted coats, sweaters resembling hand-knit pullovers, bowls resembling luxury dinnerware, and games resembling furnishing pieces. In addition to clothes, Genuina Pet Food is an all-Italian firm that provides a new way to experience animal nutrition, with food prepared with a healthy and quality production philosophy, taking the whole production chain into consideration (and minimal packaging). Space then to the couches and kennels coated with fine wool (Duepuntootto), as well as the premium collections of Poldo Dog Couture, which have been dressing the world's most stylish dogs since 2016. The Spanish brand The Painter's Wife also debuts at the Fortezza with a comprehensive dog-master lifestyle collection, including trendy sweaters, bibs, and organic T-shirts with an eclectic, modern, and fresh aesthetic. Then there are the leather accessories (Baurdelle and Frida Firenze), the skirts used as jackets, and the hand-knit sweaters by Emma Firenze, who utilizes cashmere and merino wool, as well as cowhide or ostrich leather for leashes. Finally, the Dotto collection items that resulted from the collaboration between Paola Navone-Otto and the 2.8 design for dogs company. The result is kennels, poufs, backpacks, and bowls made of natural cotton with polka dots. In partnership with Poldo Rescue and Mini Minor, which has outfitted a vehicle for the occasion, there is also an exhibition devoted to "invisible" dogs, those awaiting adoption.
