Enrico Fagone, the only Italian artist besides Måneskin, was nominated for the Grammy Awards in the Best Classical Compendium section thanks to the album 'Aspire'. The double bassist, who is known for his virtuosity, will participate in the sixty-fifth ceremony in the most important show for international live music on February 5 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles thanks to the now consolidated role of conductor on the podium of the London Symphony Orchestra, which he directed for the recording of the album. Fagone was born in 1979 and graduated very young from the G. Nicolini Conservatory of Music in Piacenza. From a young age he won important national and international competitions for solo double bass. He is regularly invited to the most important chamber music festivals where he collaborates with artists such as Martha Argerich, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Mischa Maisky, Michael Guttman, Boris Belkin. As a virtuoso and passionate performer, Fagoso is one of the very rare double bass players who is regularly invited to perform as a soloist all over the world accompanied by prestigious orchestras. Enrico Fagone is the first solo double bassist of the Orchestra of Italian Switzerland and he also collaborates with orchestras such as the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Scala of Milan, the RAI National Symphony Orchestra, the National Academy of St. Cecilia, and the Rome Opera House.
