Neither in Europe nor in the West today are there “really smart leaders.” This is what Silvio Berlusconi said about the European current situation. "We need a united Europe on the important things, on the fundamental things – said the former premier - a Europe of peoples that absolutely has a common foreign and defense policy as I have asked for more than twenty years, in the face of the great dangers of the globalized world that come especially from communist China that is pursuing and realizing a project of expansion and globalization worldwide on the economic, political and military level". And so may God protect us, given that our Europe and the West unfortunately do not have truly intelligent, realistic and responsible leaders today. Mr Berlusconi gave two examples of “fool” Europe: “Authorizing Ireland to label wine as if it were a substance dangerous to health and life is wrong from a scientific point of view and is at odds with the principles of the single market and with the interests of many European states starting from Italy.” As for the second example, the former premier said: “The directive on the energy requalification of buildings, with unreasonable times and costs, in Italy would lead to the collapse of the value of buildings”.
