"We instantly accepted the heartfelt request of the young father of Rodhine, the 11-month-old child born with a cleft lip, who was entrusted to our care, on November 3rd, the day after the arrival from Geo Barents in Catania. Following landing formalities, the young girl and her family are staying at the SAI of Santa Maria di Licodia, which is run by the Iride cooperative. The girl will have surgery at San Filippo Neri on January 21 during the weekend clinic, along with the other patients who have already been set up ". This was revealed yesterday by Smile House Fondazione Onlus president Stefano Zapponini. Domenico Scopelliti, head of the Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at Rome's San Filippo Neri Hospital, which has been constructing the Foundation's initiatives for over 20 years, stated: "We will confront the full Rodhine treatment road knowing that two procedures will be required for early infancy. We shall prepare ahead of time, in collaboration with what her future will be, to be able to follow her to the end of growing, as is the case for all children and young people who attend the Foundation's program, which aspires to conclude with the social integration of patients with cleft lip and palate ".
