Italian nursery is worth 2.8 billion euros: +5% the value of production in 2021, with Lazio settling in fifth place. Tuscany, Liguria, Sicily, Lombardy, Lazio, Puglia, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, and Piedmont lead the ranking of the Italian regions that register the highest value to the production of the national horticultural sector, growing by 5% in 2021 compared to the previous year. In 2021 the value reached 2.8 billion euros (4.6% of the production at basic prices of Italian agriculture): this is the "highest figure of the last years examined", as reported by Myplant & Garden, the International Green Fair (FieraMilano-Rho, February 22-24, 2023), the most important professional event of the vegetable and built green sectors. Italy confirms its role as a net exporter of horticultural products: in 2021 the value to production of exports reached 1,143 million euros (903 in the previous year).
