According to the Turin newspaper Tuttosport, A.S. Roma is going to be sold by Dan Friedkin to another American investor, Tom Barrack, the former owner of Paris Saint-Germain, who sold the club to Al Khelaifi's Qatar Investment Authority, and with whom Friedkin has strong professional connections. The current ownership of Roma is reflecting and analyzing the economic terms of the investment: the last budget closed with a deficit of 219.3 million euros, and between the purchase of shares and subsequent payments into the club's coffers, the Friedkins have already spent 817.1 million euros in less than 2.5 years. Los Angeles-based Tom Barrack, 75 years old, is the current president of Falcon Acquisition Corporation and Colony Global Acquisition Corporation. He founded Colony Capital (with $25 billion in assets) and is involved in real estate (in the Middle East but also in Costa Smeralda). He also has a political background, having acted as Donald Trump's senior advisor throughout the 2015-2016 presidential campaign.
