In 2022, employment among artisans and small businesses grew by 2.5%. This is higher than the +2.4% national average recorded by the ISTAT research center. This was released by the National Confederation of Crafts Trades (CNA) in a statement with the data of its Labor Observatory, which has been analyzing monthly employment trends among artisans and small businesses since 2014. According to the CNA, there is also a growing number of new permanent contracts, which increased by 26.4% over the year and represent the best result since 2018. The impact of the economic recovery on employment is also evident from the analysis of the inflows and outflows of workers from enterprises. Last year there was a significant increase in the turnover between hires and terminations, both of which grew at a rate of 2.9%. This is the highest level in the last six years, confirming that the normal shift in jobs has been reactivated by the recovery of the economy.
