On February 25, the Trento Festival of Economics, put on by Il Sole 24 Ore and Trentino Marketing on behalf of the institutions, will make its second international stop in San Francisco. These stops are part of an initiative to map out the festival's trajectory and keep it alive all year long through collaborations with Italian embassies around the world. After the first meeting of the month took place in Switzerland with a focus on the ecological transition between digital finance and the energy crisis, the theme of the US event that nods towards Silicon Valley will be "technology innovation between the industrial revolution and geopolitics." From 18:00 (ITA) / 09:30 (USA), you can watch the event, which is being held in conjunction with the Italian Embassy in Washington, via livestream on 24oreventi.com/SanFrancisco. The American event "Road to Trento 2023," which will be hosted at the Italian Innovation & Culture Hub in San Francisco, will begin with addresses by the Ambassador of Italy in Washington Mariangela Zappia and the Director of Il Sole 24 Ore Fabio Tamburini. Sergio Strozzi, the Consul General in San Francisco, will then introduce Mirja Cartia d'Asero, the Managing Director of the 24 ORE Group, and Alberto Acito, the Director of INNOVIT, the Italian Innovation and Culture Hub. Sean Randolph, Director of the Bay Area Council Economic Institute, and Keith Strier, VP of NVIDIA and Member of the U.S. Advisory Committee on AI, will also speak.
