ICE, the agency for the promotion and the internationalization of Italian companies has organized the collective participation of Italian firms in the International Fair “Bar Convent Brooklyn 2023”, to be held from June 13 to 14, 2023 at the Brooklyn's Industry City exhibition center. The fair is reserved for companies producing cocktail beverages and the mixology sector, including soft drinks for the preparation of cocktails. “Bar Convent Brooklyn” is one of the most important trade events in the spirits sector in the USA and brings together both producers and importers as well as bartenders and experts to whom it offers networking opportunities, the presentation of new products and education on new trends and issues in the world of mixology. Alcohol sales in the United States have been growing steadily for 13 consecutive years: spirits have gained market share compared to beer and wine and now represent a market share of more than 40% of total alcoholic beverages. Sales increased by 12% in 2021 to a total of $35.8 billion, while volumes rose by 9.3%.
