Lucia Borgonzoni , Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Culture, flew to Los Angeles for her first trip abroad since being appointed to the Meloni government to follow a long list of events and meetings planned to promote the Italian film and audiovisual system in America. The senator returned to the United States (where she had already been in 2018, in her first term as Undersecretary at the dicastery) with the aim of strengthening the bond between the two countries and building new opportunities for economic and cultural development. On the agenda are visits to the studios and meetings with the leaders of the entertainment giants, with audiovisual producers and US stakeholders. “This trip – she explained before leaving – is the opportunity to illustrate the strategic line that we intend to develop in the coming years to support the sector even more, in the awareness that even stronger collaborations will further stimulate the growth of all the economic and cultural operators involved”.
