The 100 largest Italian utilities account for 8.5% of the country's gross domestic product, or over 150 billion euros, and are now tasked with a massive effort to innovate and strengthen plants and networks, thereby fueling a boom in investments that reached nearly 11 billion euros in 2021, a 50% increase from 2019. These are some of the salient data of the study "The performance of Italian utilities. Analysis of the top 100 energy, water, gas, and waste companies" exhibited yesterday.
