Rome inaugurated a prototype of a maxi container for multi-fraction separate waste collection. The container, designed by the European Institute of Design, is approximately 4 meters long and has a capacity of 750 liters. Thanks to its design, it blends in with urban furniture and collects up to 13 different types of materials in compartments of varying capacities. Transferable recyclables include everything from RAAE items like cell phones and drinking radios to lamps, toner cartridges, CDs, VHS tapes, old batteries, books, coffee pods, spray cans, and even cooking oil.
