The water crisis is not letting up in most of the Po Valley, and although even the southern part offers some positive indicators only in Emilia-Romagna, the data projected by the Piedmontese and Lombardy territories remain extremely significant: the analyses communicated by the bodies met yesterday during the second official meeting of the Permanent Observatory of the Po Basin Authority have substantially reiterated the hydrological situation of declared water stress already highlighted a month ago and worsened in recent weeks in light of the prolonged lack of rainfall capable of filling, even partially, the deficit inherited from the 2022 season. To demonstrate the great attention of institutions and stakeholders in the face of this phenomenon that seems to have no mitigation was the number of experts who took part in the meeting in Parma: more than 70 representatives of ministries, regions of the Po district, stakeholders and monitoring agencies have overall offered a picture of obvious difficulties that, for the coming months in which the season of agriculture will begin, is expected to be affecting production and in which it will be essential to use the resource in a very balanced and aware way by all users.
