The sum reported in the State coffers amounts to 20.2 billion euros as a result of the overall activity of the Revenue Agency and the Revenue-Receipt Agency: this is the highest figure ever. In addition to the higher revenues deriving from the controls, last year the Revenue Agency also ensured "lower outflows" charged to the State budget thanks to risk analysis and anti-fraud activities, which allowed to block 9.5 billion euros between credits, bonuses and reimbursements not due. Of these, the predominant part concerns fictitious credits generated by building bonuses, which have been identified in synergy with the Guardia di Finanza. Also in 2022, spontaneous revenue grew: the taxes paid by the Revenue Agency by taxpayers amounted to almost 510 billion euros (+11% compared to 2021), while the reimbursements paid in 2022 to families and companies amounted to almost 20 billion euros.
