Gianni Minà has passed away at the age of 84. The sad news came from his official Facebook page. "Gianni Minà has left us after a short heart disease," the social network reads, "He was never left alone, and he was surrounded by the love of his family and closest friends. Special thanks go to Doctor Fioranelli and the staff of the Villa del Rosario clinic who gave us the freedom to say goodbye to him with serenity". Born in Turin on May 17, 1938, he was a pillar of the Italian journalism world. He long covered sports - soccer and boxing his passions - reporting on the World Cup and the unforgettable Ali-Foreman in 1974 in Kinshasa. Author of valuable reportages, he has conducted interviews with great figures in history (memorable ones with Fidel Castro and his friend Diego Armando Maradona). (Photo by Rossella Vetrano)
