"This is a place where hardship is transformed into opportunity and suffering is transformed into solidarity. So it is the best place from which to send this morning the most intense and affectionate wishes to Pope Francis, with the wish for a full recovery in health, quickly." These were the words of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, who yesterday traveled to Osimo, in the province of Ancona, where he spoke at the inauguration of the new National Center of the Lega del Filo d'Oro, a highly specialized center for the diagnosis, care, education, rehabilitation and recovery of deaf-blind and psychosensory multi-disabled people. "I am delighted to be here this morning for my testimony of the closeness of the Republic at this very important stage of the new national center. It is a stage of great development, which follows many others that have intervened over time," Mattarella stressed, and then concluded, "I just have to say thank you for what you do. Thank you to the volunteers, thank you to the staff, thank you to the therapists, thank you to the family members. And thank you to the protagonists. Thank you to the Lega del Filo d’Oro for what you do. Congratulations. The Republic is grateful to you".
