35 religious paths have already been selected by the Ministry of Tourism to become part of the new Catalogue to bring together under a single "umbrella-brand" all the religious paths, religious or spiritual-themed hiking itineraries, walkable or with other forms of slow and sustainable tourism in Italy, with a total network of over 13,000 km that touches every region of Italy with routes that develop primarily on roads inhibited by car traffic. This is a preparatory action to the activation of the measures provided for by the Fund for Religious Paths, which allocates approximately 4.5 million euros for initiatives to promote and enhance religious paths in preparation for the Jubilee 2025. The Fund will also fund the renovation of public buildings near the catalogued paths. Tourists and pilgrims will be able to rest, stay, refresh themselves, and have fun.
