The Italian electricity group has established a strong presence in North America over the years, with a $3 billion portfolio of wind projects and an office in Oklahoma City. The selection of the location at this point should shorten the time it takes to begin construction on the new factory, which was scheduled to begin in the first half of 2023 with the goal of putting the panels into production in 2024. These are special panels, the result of an Enel innovation developed at the Catania plant: not only are they double-sided, allowing sunlight to be captured even on surfaces that are not directly exposed to rays, but they will also include materials capable of increasing the ability to absorb light.
