Alberta Ferretti's next resort collection will be a tribute to the cinema of the great master Federico Fellini and to Romagna. The Aeffe Group brand, based in San Giovanni in Marignano, will run the show on May 26 inside Castel Sismondo in the historic center of Rimini. "Announcing this event for me is really a source of great excitement. We had planned to celebrate Romagna and Federico Fellini in the centennial year of his birth, 2020, but the pandemic that hit the world changed our plans. Now, however, we are finally ready to tackle this project with great enthusiasm," said the Romagna designer. "When I think of Federico Fellini," the designer continued, "a phrase of his comes to mind: 'A different language is a different vision of life'. I think these words perfectly sum up the meaning of my work as a creative: if I think about my path and career, creating clothes and images through collaboration with wonderful photographers has been for me a way of telling and expressing myself. My work has always been my voice; it has shaped my dreams and aspirations. Surely this show, which will also be possible thanks to the support of institutions that I thank from the bottom of my heart for the trust they have placed in me and in my brand as an ambassador of Made in Italy in the world, represents a further piece of the mosaic I have built with passion and love". Alberta Ferretti's show adds to a constantly updated calendar of pre-collections. On May 9, Chanel will show in Los Angeles, while Louis Vuitton has chosen Isola Bella on Lake Maggiore for its May 24 show. Finally, on June 11, Max Mara will make its way to Stockholm for the 2024 resort show.
