A combined train-to-airplane ticket, with the possibility of checking in directly at Fiumicino train station for increasingly integrated and sustainable mobility. Here comes Fco Connect, the new train-to-airplane intermodality program, result of a collaboration among ITA Airways, Trenitalia and Aeroporti di Roma. It is an initiative under the banner of intermodality and integration among different transport systems, to facilitate the exchange from one transport system to another and simplify the passenger experience. The goal is to grow the national transportation system, with a sustainable solution as well. Currently, the station check-in option is provided only for those with an international or intercontinental ticket, but as of May 4, it will also be available to all ITA Airways customers. The project was presented at Fiumicino airport by Aeroporti di Roma CEO Marco Troncone, Trenitalia CEO Luigi Corradi and ITA Airways CEO Fabio Lazzerini.
