Despite the devastating flood that has affected many regions, including Emilia Romagna, Bruce Springsteen's expected return to Italy does not appear to be in doubt. Even if bad weather is predicted, tonight's concert in Ferrara will go on as planned. Yesterday the Prefect's Commission - charged in every public event with viewing the security measures active in the area - had already expressed a positive opinion but reserving the possibility of a second inspection. There shouldn't be evaluations of the opposite direction because the weather in Ferrara appears more clement than in the rest of the region. On social media, however, controversy is mounting over the fact that the concert is held anyway, using law enforcement officials helpful for the emergency. Finally, the mayor of Ferrara, Alan Fabbri, arrived to dispel any doubts and explained right on Facebook that the concert cannot be postponed and that cancelling it would cause damage to all who, even from abroad, arrived in Italy to listen to Springsteen. It will therefore be an evening of rock, without forgetting the ongoing tragedy.
