As of 1 March, the resources allocated to NRRP projects totaled €121.7 billion. 8.6 billion of this amount is for national-scale interventions. The remaining 163.5 billion are divided among regions, provinces, and municipalities. This is what the Openpolis Foundation emphasizes in a section devoted to the Plan. The sector that absorbs the most resources in this context is, predictably, infrastructure, with over 56 billion euros allocated. This is followed by actions devoted to environmental transition (13.5 billion) and digitalisation (9). As of March 1st, the NRRP had funded 138,640 projects. The most projects have been approved and funded in Lombardy (21,549), Piedmont (13,668), and Campania (13,481). Overall, the north receives the greatest number of interventions. This does not necessarily imply that northern Italy will receive more economic resources. Both because some of the funds have yet to be allocated and because the amounts vary greatly between the various projects. In addition, 481 actions span multiple regions simultaneously, while 779 projects are categorized as "national" and therefore cannot be territorialized.
