52.8% of Italians support university students who are protesting high-priced housing in major cities. Among these, 32.3% advocate for direct state aid to students and new housing for them, while 20.5% advocate for rent control and a reduction in vacant houses through increased taxation. 11.5 percent of respondents, despite recognizing the discomfort of students, believe that the priorities have shifted. According to the 26.3% who disagree, students should learn to make more sacrifices, attend other universities in less expensive cities, live further away from the center, or find a job to support themselves. This is the result of a survey conducted by Termometro Politico between the 16th and 18th of May.
