Deliveroo, the British delivery service, has made its debut in Venice. And, as a one-of-a-kind city, the lagoon has had to adapt its "tradition" to the complex system of canals: deliveries will be made on foot rather than by bicycle or scooter. Riders will then transform into walkers. Deliveroo launched a one-of-a-kind advertising campaign to promote the new service. In a television commercial, a caorlina - a typical Venetian lagoon boat similar to a gondola but with two rowers - is painted with the company's distinctive colors and sails along Venice's picturesque canals with walkers on board ready for deliveries. However, it should be noted that the method of delivery by foot has already been adopted in Hong Kong and Singapore.
