Almost three-quarters of Italians (73.7%) believe that buying a home for their children is the best investment they can make. Entry into investment funds came in second place, with only 12% of respondents choosing this option. To round out the podium, the life insurance policy is 7.2%. This is the conclusion of the most recent survey conducted by Immobiliare.it, Italy's leading real estate portal, which included a sample of nearly 2,000 users to investigate preferences related to investment decisions made or planned for the next generation. More than half (59.3%) of those who indicated a preference to buy a property would like to buy a second home solely for children, while more than a quarter (26.3%) intend to take over the current "family" home in order to transfer ownership in the future. Less than 14%, on the other hand, would direct their funds toward the purchase of a vacation home.
