Italy and Australia will once again be linked by a direct route thanks to the collaboration of Aeroporti di Roma and Qantas, Australia's national airline, which yesterday celebrated the return of the direct route for the summer season. The first non-stop flight will take off June 18 from Rome Fiumicino Airport and land in Sydney after a 15-hour journey and a stopover in Perth. Just as in 2022, three flights per week will be operated for the new season, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, until October. All non-stop flights will be operated via Boeing 787/900, which, thanks to new technology pioneered by Qantas, makes it possible to sustain a trip of such duration, putting passenger welfare first without forgetting sustainability.
