ISTAT has provided estimates of additional construction investments induced by tax incentives for building interventions, particularly the 110% superbonus, which the government has now substantially repealed. The statistical institute predicts an increase of 758 million euros in 2020, 18.6 billion in 2021, and 32.0 billion in 2022. These figures were presented by the Chamber's Budget Committee as part of a fact-finding survey on the macroeconomic and public-finance effects of tax breaks in the construction industry. This €15.6 billion is concentrated in the construction sector, with a 10.1% increase in the sector's added value. This figure emphasizes the significance of tax breaks for the revival of construction and the resulting positive impact on the Italian economy as a whole.
