The Trento Festival of Economics has been very beneficial to the city of Trento and the surrounding region, both in terms of tourism and in the positioning of the city, resulting in a significant increase in hotel occupancy. Indeed, based on the sample buildings monitored by the destination, hotel occupancy ranged between 95 and 99% throughout the Festival's days, an incredibly favorable and satisfying outcome driven in large part by the Festival's significant visitor flows. More than a thousand high school students from the Province of Trento and beyond Trento attended the festival, proving that the bet on moving it up by a week and away from the bridge on June 2—when the University is closed—was a good one. A remarkable turnout that saw them attend not just the 15 events devoted to them, but also the more technical and scientific seminars planned during the Festival. Among the audience, in addition to the scientific, business, and young people, there were many families, including those from outside Trentino, who were especially impressed by the "FuoriFestival" and Monopoly in Piazza FIera ideas.
