The new ITA Airways Rome Fiumicino-Washington Dulles flight is inaugurated today with the entry into operation of the new Airbus A330neo. The Washington destination inaugurates the expansion of ITA Airways' intercontinental network starting with the summer season, supported by the entry into the fleet of the new Airbus, which will make its first commercial flight today. The Airbus A330neo is the ultimate benchmark in technology, digitization, innovation, efficiency and design under the banner of Made in Italy, reflecting the core pillars of ITA Airways. Dedicated to track and field champion Gelindo Bordin, it has been fully configured for the national airline, with the award-winning Airspace cabin, interiors signed by designer Walter De Silva, the latest generation IFE system, and, to crown the Italian-ness of the in-flight experience, there are menus signed by Michelin-starred chef Gian Piero Vivalda and uniforms made with stylistic advice from Brunello Cucinelli worn by the flight crew. ITA Airways' new Rome-Washington direct flight will have five weekly frequencies until July 2, rising to a daily operation in the peak season, from August 1 to October 28, 2023.
