Delta Air Lines adds a daily nonstop flight from Rome to Detroit to its existing daily service from the capital to New York-JFK, Atlanta, and Boston. Delta's service to Detroit increases its capacity between Italy and the United States by approximately 30% year on year. Delta is the airline that offers the most U.S. options from Rome, with nonstop flights to four U.S. gateways. Connecting flights to popular US destinations such as New Orleans, San Francisco, Washington, and Miami are among them. "The return of this direct connection will represent for Delta Air Lines the crowning achievement of a record summer for the US airline, which will operate 7 daily flights connecting our airport with 4 main destinations in the USA and offering over 3,600 seats per day from today and for the rest of the summer peak," said Ivan Bassato, Chief Aviation Officer of Aeroporti di Roma. "The growing demand for direct connectivity to and from Rome confirms the Roman market's attractiveness and recognition for the high quality of service provided by Leonardo da Vinci airport."
