Italian wines, spirits, and vinegars have a turnover of more than 20 billion euros and account for 21% of total Italian food and beverage exports. This photograph, drawn by Nomisma, began the Federvini's General Assembly, which took place yesterday in Rome. Among the data presented, the export of Italian wine to the rest of the world rises in 2022 compared to the previous year, with the exception of Germany and China. The United Kingdom (+46.5%) and Japan (+25%) are the most welcoming markets. Record exports of national spirits generated a turnover of 1,650 million euros last year, up 25% from 2021. Balsamic vinegar performed well as well, with a double-digit plus sign (+15% in values compared to 2021) in the main destination markets such as the US and Germany.
