91% of Italians understand the importance of digital infrastructure to the country's growth and long-term development. This is the conclusion of a survey conducted by the Piepoli Institute for INWIT. Technological innovation and digitalization of the country are important to 95% of respondents, and they are a top priority for about a third. 87% believe that digitalization will help them achieve their sustainability goals, and 89% see 5G technology as a great opportunity. According to the survey, 50% of Italians believe that strengthening digital infrastructures contributes to closing the digital divide, while 46% believe that it supports the PA's digital transformation. Italians now see connectivity as a right that must be guaranteed throughout the country (88%). Over 6 out of 10 Italians would be willing to accept some inconveniences in exchange for a connection of the latest generation. Only one in ten respondents is aware that the limits of electromagnetic emissions produced by antennas in Italy are lower than the European average. In fact, the majority (7 out of 10) believe they are in line, while 2 out of 10 believe they are higher.
