Digitization runs hand in hand with the growth of cyber attacks, which still find us greatly unprepared. In the first quarter of the year, 898 targets in 79 countries were hit by ransomware, and in Italy victims are up 85.7 percent. These attacks are mainly focused on small and medium-sized businesses: in fact, 80% of them target companies with a turnover of less than 250 million euros, while in May 2023 it emerges that 65% of the attacks affected entities with fewer than 100 employees. These are some of the salient data emerging from Cyber Threat Infosharing, the platform that Assintel (the national association of ICT companies), through its Cyber Think Tank, is about to launch in version 1.0 open to the entire ICT community. Its main purpose is to inform technology companies about all cyber risks in real time, so that they are equipped to cascade action with their enterprise customers.
