Awaiting the autopsy of 17-year-old Roman girl Michelle Maria Causo, who was found dead in a supermarket shopping cart in Rome's Primavalle neighborhood, police have detained a man of her age. The young man is charged with murder: he was allegedly framed by a witness who noticed drops of blood falling from a shopping cart dragged by a young man on the street on the afternoon of June 28. Following the traces of blood, officers from the Rome Police Mobile Squad and officers from the Primavalle police station reached the home of the murder suspect born in Rome but originally from Sri Lanka. After an all-night interrogation at the headquarters, the judicial police arrest came. From initial forensic police investigations inside the home, it appears that the 17-year-old girl's death occurred at the end of an argument between the two, struck by several stab wounds. According to an initial reconstruction, the victim also tried to defend herself and escape.
