The Public Prosecutor's Office in Rome has launched an investigation into Andrea Purgatori's death, a well-known journalist who died yesterday. The investigations were launched in response to a complaint filed by Purgatori's family. "The Nas of the carabinieri, under the command of Colonel Alessandro Amadei, and coordinated by the Prosecutors of the Republic Sergio Colaiocco and Giorgio Orano, are conducting investigations to shed light on the correctness of the diagnoses and treatments made to their loved one, who died on July 19, 2023 after only two months from the initial diagnosis," reads a note from the Purgatori family's lawyers. "In particular, they have asked for the correctness of the diagnosis reported to Andrea Purgatori in a well-known Roman clinic to be ascertained and the consequent need for the heavy therapies prescribed to him, and if, due to the same possible diagnostic errors, the actually necessary treatments have been omitted".
