The 10-year-old girl who died yesterday afternoon in Sardinia, in the sea of Noesala in the province of Oristana, was playing by the water when she was swept away by a wave. Her name was Amira Bennadi, and she came from a Moroccan family who lived in Macomer, Nuoro province. At the time of the tragedy, she was accompanied by a family member and two sisters, ages 12 and 17. The three girls were playing on the beach when the sea dragged them away. Amira's sisters were rescued by swimmers and a lifeguard and taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the youngest.
