Tragedy in the Brescian region of Italy: a 16-year-old girl who was at a scout camp died after being struck by a tree that fell due to bad weather while she was in her tent sleeping. The girl was part of a group from Como, which was immediately moved to a gym. The Brescia prosecutor's office has opened a homicide investigation, while duty prosecutor Teodoro Catananti has already signed the burial clearance and the body has been returned to the family. At the moment there are no names on the register of suspects. Prosecutors will hear in the coming days from the organizers of the group to understand why the young people were left in the woods despite the bad weather. Yesterday afternoon in Lissone, Lombardy, a 58-year-old woman also lost her life after being crushed by a tree that fell due to strong winds. Two other scout groups were rescued last night and brought to safety after a storm of water, hail, and wind caught them while they were camping outdoors in two separate areas at Passo Coe and Dosso delle Somme on the Folgaria Plateau in the autonomous province of Trento.
