It's a golden half-year for Poste Italiane. The company led by Matteo Del Fante records "strong growth" in net income, files the second quarter at 601 million euros (+22%) and the first six months of 2023 at 1.1 billion euros, up 16%. The market reaction was positive, with the stock gaining 1.03 percent at the end of a favorable session. "Once again, we delivered a solid quarterly performance and closed the first half of the year very positively, with substantial growth in revenues and profitability compared to the same period in 2022," Del Fante says. Group operating income also rose, soaring 11 percent to 1.6 billion euros in the first half of the year (in the second quarter to 799 million euros, up 9.9 percent) and "set a new record in the first half of the year, reflecting our continued success and solid performance in all of our business segments," the company chief points out.
