Italo, the rail transport company with 1,400 employees, has decided to launch a new call for applications to hire 30 station hostesses and stewards. In addition to the traditional requirements for candidates, namely possession of a diploma or degree, knowledge of English, soft skills such as customer orientation and a good ability to relate to others, as well as willingness to work in shifts, knowledge of the Chinese language, which will be a "preferential qualification", is also popping up. "It is a new request," they say at Italo, "to be ready for the recovery of Asian tourism, given the forecasts see 2024 as a year of restart of the flow of eastern tourism to Europe. The tasks of the new resources range from activities related to the offer, promotion, booking, and sale of commercial products to information and support activities for travelers, from customer service and reception, to support to the Station Manager for all operational activities. The 30 new entrants will be distributed along the bases in Turin, Milan, Venice, Verona, Padua, Bologna, Reggio Emilia, Florence, Rome and Naples. The entry salary is 1,300 euros net per month to which will be added fringe benefits and commissions on sales.
